Helping raise funds for charity can definitely be fun, particularly if it comes with the OREO Twist, Lick and Dunk!
OREO, long associated with joy and bonding across the world, is holding Dunk for a Cause, an event where Filipino families can show support and share the love with the children of Gabay ng Landas (GALA).
Dunk for a Cause brings to life the OREO ritual of Twist, Lick, and especially DUNK. The event features an inflatable basketball court as its main attraction. Participants will get to bounce on a giant trampoline and DUNK an OREO cookie ball, true NBA style, but also true OREO style. Parents and kids together get to shoot and dunk as much as they can within a given time limit. Afterwards, they will also sign their names and write dedications for GALA’s children at the commemorative graffiti wall. Other activities that would delight the whole family include the OREO Puzzle Race where kids complete the pieces of a giant puzzle, getting OREO sticker tattoos, and watching the balloon twisting show.
“OREO’s Dunk for a Cause empowers families, specifically the children, to do good and make a difference in the lives of others, while enjoying and bonding with their loved ones in the process. Dunk for a Cause will be held in Ali Mall Cubao on October 10, 2010. A portion of the event proceeds will automatically go to building and installing the specially designed playground set for GALA’s shelter in Taytay.
