Rags2Riches, a social business enterprise creating a social statement in style, recently unveiled the latest addition to it’s must-have, high-fashion bag collection- the Aranaz Mercato. Launched at the exclusive Members Only bar in Bonifacio Global city, the bags echoed the unique style of premier designer Amina Aranaz-Alunan, who is famed for her “up-cycled” cotton fabric scrap elements interwoven with raw organic materials.
The Mercato Bag is a stylized market basket using indigenous materials and recycled fabrics designed by Amina Aranaz and produced by the women of Payatas.
The limited edition handbags by Aranaz were created as a way for Bounty Fresh Chicken to honor mothers who are usually the household heads, and the brand’s loyal patrons.
Key personalities in the fashion and food industries graced the event, along with stylish women who showcased the Aranaz Mercato bags. Audrey Tan-Zubiri, Amanda Griffin-Jacob, Hindy Weber-Tantoco, Kaye Termulo-Garcia, Issa Litton, Juana Manahan-Yupangco, Loralee Baron-Soong, Erica Paredes, and Nicole Jacinto were all muses of the afternoon’s event.
To create a unique environment for the launch of the RIIR by Aranaz Mercato Bag, Bounty Fresh asked SoFA Interior Design in collaboration with The Event Architects to give a short seminar on how to entertain in style. Guests snacked on various delectable finger food provided by Bounty Fresh from their line: Chciken Pandan, Chicken Strips, Chicken Teriyaki and Pollo Asado.
I’m all for green as well as women empowerment and generating livelihood for the less fortunate. It’s comforting to know that such companies exist who are not only here to make a profit, but also to make a difference in people’s lives and the environment.
I want that bag!
I want those bags. I hope it’s not pricey..
