Learn How To Make Chocolates and How To Bake a Meringue at The Maya Kitchen

It’s what chocolate lovers have been waiting for! The Maya Kitchen holds a Chocolate Making Class on November 5, Saturday, 9am-2pm. Learn how to properly melt, mold and store chocolates with recipes for Almond Roca, Choco Lollipops, Bailey’s Truffles and Raisin Nut Cluster. The class includes hands-on group workshop for P2,000.

Also on November 5, Saturday, 9am-2pm is the Paleo Diet class. The diet patterns itself on the food that early man hunted and gathered that includes vegetables, fruits, nuts, roots, meats and excludes dairy, grains, sugar, legumes, processed food, alcohol and coffee. Learn these recipes as a start up Paleo Diet regimen: Chorizo Fritata; Paleo Spaghetti Bolognese with Lemon Butter Zuchettini; Paleo Cauliflower Fried Rice with Paleo Orange Chicken, Gluten and Dairy Free Paleo Chocolate Chip Muffins, Spicy Tuna Cakes and No-Bake Cashew Cookie Larabar. The class includes hands-on group workshop for P2,000.

Basic Baking is on November 2-4, Wednesday to Friday, 9am-3pm. The class teaches Basic Baking Techniques applicable to small and commercial scale production of recipes and formulations of quick breads, pies, cookies, cakes and other bread varieties. Basic Baking is also offered on November 15, Tuesday and 17-18, Thursday to Friday, 9am -3pm and November 22-25, Tuesday to Friday, 9am- 2pm. Class fee is P8,000.

Basic Culinary is on November 8-11, Tuesday to Friday, 9am- 3pm. Learn Cooking Fundamentals and International Standard Techniques of Meal Preparation from soup, salad, pasta, main courses to desserts for Home and Institutional Scale Kitchens. Basic Culinary is also offered on November 29, December 1-2, 9am-4pm. Class fee is P9,000.

Bento Box Meals is on November 12, Saturday, 9am-12noon. Our certified Art Maki Sushi instructor will show the intricacies of preparing Flower and Heart Art Maki and Pikachu Bento Box with Fried Chicken and Brocolli and Corn on the side. This hands-on group workshop class goes for P2,000.

The holidays are just around the corner so enroll in Christmas Feast for All on November 19, Saturday, 9am-1pm. Recipes include Fried Tortilla Panzanella, Jamon Wrapped Lapu Lapu with Bean Stew, Pork Belly Roast and Roast Chicken with Spicy Christmas Rub and Marsala Gravy with Mediterranean Rice and Dried Fruits. Class fee is P2,000.

Cupcake Baking and Decorating is on November 19, Saturday, 9am-1pm. Learn how to make basic buttercream frosting, fondant from scratch, blending colors and working with it to form toppers. It is advisable to come with fondant designs already in mind. Cupcakes are already provided. The class fee is P2,000 including hands-on group workshop.

Meringue-based cakes and desserts are included in Coffee Shop Desserts 101 on November 26, 9am-2pm. Learn to bake Sans Rival, Sylvannas, Pavlova and Meringue Kisses. Class fee is P2,000 with hands-on group workshop.
