This February, Chef Jessie Rockwell Club at the Ground Level, Amorsolo Square, Amorsolo Drive, Rockwell Center, Makati presents an art exhibit entitled Irene Ibañez Watercolor Mixes.
A treasure trove of watercolor creations of regal horses, glowing kois, sun drenched country homes, profiles and people strolling along colorful pathways are but some of the wonderful creations on view.Whether it is in pulling together the outfit of the day, picking furniture for the house, or creating an unusual floral arrangement, Ibañez’ artistic touch is immediately evident. A wonderful and prolific love affair with painting began when she picked up a brush 7 years ago.
She started getting serious about painting under the tutelage of Roland Santos. While she dabbled briefly in acrylic, watercolor became her favorite medium.
The artist is wife to Elpidio Ibañez and a dedicated mother to their three children Diego, Basti and Bea. A tennis aficionado with an active social life, she makes time for a hobby that affords her the chance to appreciate beauty around her.
