Chef Jessie Rockwell Club plays host to the month long exhibit “A Visual Expression of 3 Women, 3 Voices” featuring works by Dr. Marilyn Leung, Justine Leung and Dr. Violeta Alcantara-Mendoza. Marilyn’s paintings show nature’s innate beauty in beautiful gardens, sceneries and flowers. Her daughter Justine’s works stand out with fanciful, chimerical faces and delightful interpretations of animals and historical landmarks. Sister Violeta shares, among others, portraits of people like that of a ballerina in an elegant pose.
Marilyn, who is a respected orthodontist and Violeta, a retired dentist, come from a family of dentists, all equally gifted with creative talents in the arts and music. Justine is a Communications Technology graduate who also plays the piano and dabbles in embroidery, crocheting, knitting, cross stitch and handicrafts.
“A Visual Expression of 3 Women, 3 Voices” runs from October 1 to 31 at the Chef Jessie Rockwell Club at ground level of Amorsolo Square, Amorsolo Drive, Rockwell Center. For more information, call Chef Jessie Rockwell Club at 890-7630 and 450-2996.
