CoCo is a tea and juice store concept that originated in Taiwan. It expanded into the Greater China market in 1997 and became the biggest fresh-drinks brand in China. CoCo also has stores in New York and Hongkong, and is continuously expanding to Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Los Angeles, Singapore, south Africa, and now, in the Philippines as well. Coco Tea recently opened it’s first branch in the Philippines at Eastwood.

CoCo serves drinks that are made with either black, green tea or mountain tea as base. Their line of fit teas and fruit juices are made from fresh fruits sourced both locally and abroad. some of these are the Passion Fruit Tea burst made with fresh passion fruit and jasmine tea, topped with pearls and coco jelly; Pineapple Black Tea Jelly made with Assam black teaand pineapples topped with coconut jelly’ and the Fresh Lemon Calamansi with Aloe and Grapefruit & Orange tea. Prices range from Php 60-70 for their fresh teas, upwards of PHP75 for their juices, fruit teas and milk tea concoctions. Sugar and ice can be adjusted upon request, and extra toppings are available.

I got to sample a few of them, including the one pictured below, while listening to pro rugby player Chris Everingham give a talk about fitness and wellness. The fruit teas are very refreshing and I recommend the 2 Ladies drink (Php 85). It’s got pearls and a very smooth and creamy pudding.
