Cyma at The Maya Kitchen

It was a day filled with interesting stories, culinary tips and incredibly delicious Greek fare as Cyma Greek Taverna Executive Chef Robby Goco took center stage at The Maya Kitchen recently.

Chef Robby demonstrated well-loved Greek dishes and a generous sprinkling of extra recipes to help the home cook prepare a delightful Mediterranean spread.

He prepared horiatiki,  a greek salad with zucchini, tomatoes, olives, bell peppers and feta cheese. He also made a porridge called kotopoulo avgolemono; as well as a pasta dish called garides saganaki that had large prawns and feta cheese.

Chef Robby also made a popular Greek dish called moussaka with a lot of bechamel. Second to the last was spanakopita, triangular packtes of phyllo pastry filled with cheese and spinach.

The sweet dessert baklava topped it all off. Everything He prepared was so good. I especially loved the spanakopita and garides saganaki.
