Homegrown fast casual dining restaurant Max’s launched it’s first coffee table book last month. Aplty titled ” The House That Fried Chicken Built”, the book was written by celebrated writers Robert JA Basilio and Sonia Pinto Ner, niece of Max’s founder Maximo Jimenez.
Set against the backdrop of some of the most challenging periods in Philippine history, the 196-page book is filled with photographs and recounts the humble beginnings of Max’s: from a small cafe in Quezon city to what it is today.
“The House That Fried Chicken Built” is initially being sold at the Scout Tuason branch for Php 2,500.00. Part of the proceeds will be utilized for Max’s corporate social responsibility programs.
