Simply share with us your most unique bag experience in the comments section. It’s that simple! Maybe your bag saved you from drowning by being a flotation device; or how it made you the coolest kid in school. it’s all up to you– as long as it’s a true story, we’d love to hear it!
The most unique and interesting story will be given a Timbuktu bag from Brat Pack, the store that also brought us Jansport and Hedgren bags. This contest runs until November 15, 2008.
So go ahead and share your story! And don’t forget to visit the newly opened BratPack outlet at Greenbelt 5!
This one is a rather embarrassing experience. It was one summer when our Charismatic Community decided to have a beach outing. As member of the Music Ministry, I participated in the morning vocal exercises, after which we ate the lunch prepared by our community elders. Then, comes the swimming part.
I wore a new shorts bought by my mother from a peddler. Enjoyed the sun, the wind and the sea with my fellows and not to mention my crush. The time came for us to go home. As i emerge from the water, I noticed that the I can feel the wind on my skin. But I had my shorts on, OMG! my shorts is in no good wearing condition-butas! And I still had to travel 5 kilometers going home. I had to think of something to save me from humiliation. I was the last one to go to the cottage (the back side of my shorts were the ones that needed stitching). I immediately approached a friend and borrowed his bag to use as cover for my exposed underwear (my butt are still covered!) on the way to the tricycle. I just had his bag washed before returning to him and thanked him very much that his bag saved me from a not so comfortable experience!
I will never forget my bag experience when a street kid tried to steal my scientific calculator. It happened when I was in a side walk and I was wondering why my bag suddenly became heavy, I immediately turned my head and saw a kid’s hand inside my backpack bag trying to get my calculator. Since then it became a habit of mine to wear my back pack bag in front just to make sure that no one will have access in opening my bag again.
My friends got married last August. My sister and I were requested by the bride to wear girly outfits and we did! My sister wore a blouse and skirt while I wore a ruffled jumperskirt and a blouse. Very feminine, right? My boyfriend wore his usual barong and slacks. But weddings are events that you attend and make sure you capture the moments because time will pass and you’d never have it again. And of course, we had to bring our mobile phones and maps because we weren’t too familiar with the church (which happened to be in the San Antonio Village area) and reception area (which happened to be in the Guadalupe area). Because our clothes didn’t have pockets, we stuffed our mobile phones, the camera, maps and other gadgets in a small black backpack. Yes, we went to the wedding carrying a backpack! During the ceremonies we left the bag in the car. But we brought it during the reception and we put it on a chair and covered it with the table cloth. Haha. Just so we could have our gadgets, of course! We ended up laughing about it because turns out that one of our friends brought a backpack too.
